1. Appointment of Ms. Ntombi Mabindisa
We are excited to announce the appointment of Ms. Ntombi Mabindisa as the interim Manager of ACIPS. Her vast experience and exceptional dedication have enabled us to begin our activities smoothly. Ms. Mabindisa has spearheaded several initiatives, laying a strong foundation for our future growth.
2. Meetings with the Board of Trustees
Under Ms. Mabindisa’s leadership, we have successfully conducted three meetings with our Board of Trustees. However, due to their busy schedules, coordinating regular meetings has been challenging. The trustees include Mr. Lulekile Magqazolo and Mr. Sizwe Zondo. We are saddened to inform you that Mr. Zondo was recently injured in an attack and is now in recovery. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to his return.
3. Recruitment of Additional Trustees and Patrons
We are actively looking to recruit four additional trustees and patrons to strengthen our organization. This expansion is critical for enhancing our governance and outreach. If you are interested in supporting ACIPS or know someone who might be, please reach out to us.
4. Funding Needed for Research and Community Services
We are currently seeking funding to initiate a series of important research projects, community workshops, and counseling services. Your contributions can help us achieve our mission and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
5. Afrocentric Focus
ACIPS remains firmly focused on Afrocentric studies, with a strong commitment to advancing African cultural knowledge, spirituality, and heritage. Our research and initiatives are deeply rooted in the African experience and vision.
6. Call for Volunteers
We are also calling on volunteers to join our team of researchers and counselors. Volunteers can reside anywhere across the African continent or in the diaspora, as our work spans diverse locations and communities. If you are passionate about African cultural awakening and eager to contribute, we encourage you to apply. Your expertise and dedication will be vital in driving our research and outreach efforts.
7. Office Location Needed
We are in need of a permanent office in Pietermaritzburg or Durban. Establishing a physical office will enable us to better coordinate our activities and serve the community more effectively.
8. Website Launch
Our new website has officially launched, providing a platform to post Calls for Research Papers and other important updates. We invite researchers and scholars to submit their work for consideration. The website will also keep the public informed about our ongoing activities and events.
